Affiliate Marketing: Maintaining Your Enthusiasm Through Difficult Times.

Quote: ” Every man is enthusiastic at times. One man has enthusiasm for 30 minutes-another for 30 days, but it is the man who has it for 30 years that makes a success out of his life”. -Businessman Edward B Butler(1953-1928).

When you first start your Affiliate Marketing Business, the one thing you need and most of us have is enthusiasm. But when time goes by and things don’t quite go the way we expect, our enthusiasm begins to dwindle. When that happens you begin to slack off on running your business. You tend to put your business on the back- burner, lower it on the ladder of priorities…which translates to owning a mediocre business at best or no business at all.

Losing your enthusiasm in your start-up can make you grab on to the first shiny object being promoted on the internet. You could eventually find yourself in the ever revolving cycle of jumping into one business venture after another…never seeing any of them through.

There’s going to be risk in any business that you venture in ( though an affiliate marketing business is one of the less riskiest out there), you should expect difficult times to show up. Things never go as smoothly has you want. That’s just life. I personally can attest to this because I’m going through it right now.

Let’s put a visualized picture to this.

You’re excited because you’ve decided you’re going to make money as an Affiliate Marketer. You think to yourself…there’s no better way to make money than this business. All you have to do is create a blog, generate traffic and sell affiliate products or services to that traffic. Simple right? Wrong. Something unexpected happens. Nobody is reading your blog. You figure out, there’s much more to this thing than I thought. You have to learn one of the most important aspects of this business and that’s how to attract readers. To accomplish that you have to learn keyword research, SEO optimization, guest blogging and a host of other things.

Sounds a little overwhelming? It can be, but the only way you can overcome that feeling is maintaining your enthusiasm in what you’re doing…in our case Affiliate Marketing.

Maintaining that Enthusiasm in Difficult Times

We’ve just talked about what you should do- which is maintaining your enthusiasm throughout the running of your Affiliate Marketing Business- but to expand on that, you must maintain that enthusiasm on the same level you had when you first decided to start your Affiliate Marketing Business. It’s the kind of enthusiasm that carries you through every situation you find your business in. Good times, bad times, times of confusion, times of doubt and what ever rollercoaster emotion you find yourself in running your Affiliate Marketing Business.

So…the million-dollar question. What can you do to maintain the kind of enthusiasm that will get me through all the emotional ups and downs I’m bound to experience running my affiliate marketing business.

I’m going to recommend 6 things you could or better yet should do to maintain the level of enthusiasm that would make you successful.

The first recommendation I give you in my opinion is the most important. You may not believe the first one, but I can assure you it you follow it, it will be the best advice from all the other recommendations I give you. If you don’t believe this advice, I challenge you to stick with my blog and watch me serve as a testimonial to it. The first recommendation is quite simple…

Put GOD FIRST in EVERYTHING You DO.

GOD has made promises to those who believe in HIM and he never fails because he’ll never lie. When you find yourself in difficult place emotionally because your business isn’t going the way you’d like, put your trust in HIM and meditate on scriptures like..

Palms 37:4: “Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart”

Proverbs 16:3: “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed”

Deuteronomy 8:18: “But remember the LORD your GOD, for it is HE who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms HIS covenant, which HE sworn to your ancestors”.

Let HIS HOLY SPIRIT guide you in every decision you make. Pray for HIS guidance right before you start your day and you’ll see the difference. You can’t go wrong by applying this approach.

Never Dwell on the Negative

Stop thinking about your past mistakes. Focus on the positives in your life and business. Learn from your mistakes, don’t harp on them. Draw inspiration from the times you’ve succeeded. Make a list of the things you’re grateful for…like even having the ability to start your own Affiliate Marketing Business…or the fact that you woke up this morning (a lot of people didn’t), family, and good health.

For me, I focus on the unconditional love of JESUS CHRIST my LORD and SAVIOR, my wife and children, and the honor of being able to write this post.

Strive to make a Difference not a Living.

Make a difference in somebody’s life by helping them get what they want. JESUS says, “It is more blessed to give than receive”. Think back in your last when you did something good for someone. How did it make you feel? It probably made you feel great, in fact , it was probably one of the greatest feelings you’ve had in a long time. Giving and making a difference in someone’s life is the most rewarding feelings you can have …plus when you give, it comes back to 10-fold.

When you focus your Affiliate Marketing Business on making a difference, you won’t market products or services that only take people’s money because you’re seriously trying to help people. Acquiring long-term customers is the way to gain wealth. A happy customer will more likely turn into a long-term customer than an unhappy one.

Determine Your Destiny

With all the things going on in the world today, coronavirus, black lives matters and a host of other political shenanigans, it could be easy to have a very negative view of the world. But you have to think positive, no matter what. Always remember, GOD is in control, and HE’s going to see us through all of the turmoil. Be enthusiastic about your destiny… you’re going to be successful because you’ve got the the creator of all things in the universe on your side. That along should make you enthusiastic about your business. Here’s a quote from Henry Ford…

“You can do anything if you have enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes rise to the stars. With it, there is accomplishment, without it there are only excuses”.

Stop Listening to Naysayers.

Some of the most critical people in your life are most likely the ones who are not doing anything with theirs. They can come from anywhere, including family(which can be the worse). Don’t listen to them. Let their comments to in one ear out the other. You’re a winner…and you also have your Heavenly Father on yourside. The Bible says: “If GOD is with you, who can be against you”. Just keep smiling when you hear those negative remarks because you should know in time they’ll see your success and wonder how could they have been so wrong. This leads me to the complete opposite of what we just talked about…which is…

Surround Yourself with Enthusiastic People

If you don’t have enthusiastic people around you, find some. They don’t have to have a physical presence in your life. You can find in forums, Facebook groups, or you can form your own entrepreneur think group. You want people who have the same ambitions as you do. You can learn from each other…share ideas between each other, mentor each other. You may even be able to form a virtual company with them.

Conclusion

You can achieve anything you want, if you can maintain the same level of enthusiasm that you had when you first started your business, throughout your business journey. Hang on to this advice…put them in your heart and meditate on them …and remember to put GOD first on all that you do and whatcha how it turns out.

Tip: Use your goals as the seed that’s planted and your enthusiasm as the sun and rain that grows it.

For GOD says ” If you put one foot forward, I’ll do the rest”.

In the end, I pray that everyone stays safe throughout this terrible virus and may GOD wave HIS mighty hand to end it. Until next time, all the success to you and your Affiliate Marketing Business.

I started this blog because I believe we're in an economic environment that is only going to reward those who have their own (business). My passion is to help as many as I can to be successful as an online entrepreneur. As you may know, you can't count on the government to secure your financial future, so you must rely on yourself on yourself. I came to this conclusion because I was a victim of this up and down economy and I'm pulling myself out of my misfortune by starting my own online business and I want to carry as many poeple like myself along by helping THEM succeed.
