There’s a Silver Lining to Every Cloud

As we all know, we’re going through some trying times with the outbreak of the current pandemic.

My first thought on this is, I can’t believe we’ve let this problem get this far out of hand. I was at the grocery store the other day and I felt like I was in a scene in sci-fi movie. People we’re running around trying to grab as many food and nonparishable items as their money could buy. Most stores only allowed you one purchase per family, when it came to meats, water and toilet paper.

I also noticed that there are a number of people who aren’t taking this virus seriously enough. I can’t even count the number of people I still see walking around as if there’s nothing going on. they are not protecting themselves by using the suggested masks or gloves, they’re not implementing social-distancing and I even saw this ederly gentlman cough right in somone’s face…and he wasn’t even wearing a mask(of course you know the person he did it to was very upset). I have to wonder to myself…”Haven’t these people seen or read the news”?

We need to take this health situation serious and everybody has to do their part.

With that being said, as stressful as this situation may be…there is a silver-lining to this cloud.

For me that silver-lining is, this stay home situation has allowed me to begin learning a new skill. The particular skill I’m talking about is coding in Python.

I’ve always been interested in learning how to code, but I just didn’t seem to have the time to start…but now I do have the time because of the stay home orders, due to the pandemic.

Studying Python along with my other online business aspirations have kept me busy. Needless to say I’m not bored like some people might be.

What are my plans from learning this skill? I don’t know at this time. who knows, maybe two or three years from now I can add it to my repertiore which would add to my value.

My Suggestion

For those of us who are quarntined-which most of us are-you’re in the house already and you’re probably bored stiff…why not take all this time (which you didn’t have before) and learn something new. You might even learn something that will eventually let you quit your job, or better yet, enhance whatever online business you’re doing now.

There are a number of courses…some of them free…that you can take. You can find some of them on sites like…

Udemy.com

Alison.com

Edx.org

Along with a number of other free and low-cost online courses out there.

I’m a firm believer that you should never stop learning no matter how successful you are or what you’re doing.

Learning new things keeps your mind active…and even though I’m not a doctor and might even be wrong for thinkinking this way… I feel that expanding your mind by learning new things might even help your brain from the onset of Alzheimers. And like I said I could be wrong but that’s just my thinking.

Even though we’re going through this health crisis right now, sometimes GOD uses what might be a crisis and turns it into a blessing. Great opportunities don’t come to us everyday, take this time to turn a negative into a positive.

My finale note on this short post is, make sure you’re learning something that you can benefit from later on…like your online business.

This might be the once in a lifetime chance that you’ll have the time to educate yourself on a neww skill. Take advantage of it, you’ll be glad you did.

One more thing. Lets fight on to become a healthier nation and world. As stated before, we’re all in this thing together and together we’ll come out of it stronger.

Until next time, remember, if you have to go out, wear your mask, wear your gloves and keep your social distance. It’s imperitive that you protect your family and yourself at all cost.

Have a blessed day and may GOD be with all of us.

How to Gather contacts for your Email Marketing List

In order to be successful in your affiliate marketing business, you’re going to need traffic. The question you may be asking yourself is…how can I get all the traffic I need in order to become successful? Your first step in creating traffic is implementing a strategy that will gather you contacts for your email marketing list.

One of the best ways to gather contacts is to give away something Free to your perspective prospects…something valuable to them that they can use and benifit from. Normally it’s a solution to their problems or what’s keeping them up at night. It could even be something that will help them advance in their business ventures.

The free gift I’m talking about is called a Lead Magnet. Your lead magnet is what you use to begin building your contacts for your email marketing list. It can be anything,as long as it’s valuable and relevant to your prospective readers. They can come in theform of…

  • Ebooks
  • Free reports
  • Free checklist
  • Free courses
  • Free templates

Just to name a few.

When your readers give you their emails in order to purchase the free gift you’re offering, they are essentually giving you permission to email them. That’s why it’s important that you make your lead magnet as beneficial to them as possible. Focusing on your prospect and not on yourself is the best way to accomplish that… when it comes to creting your lead magnet.

Using an Opt-In Form or Landing Page

Here is where you entice your readers to give you their email address. You show the benefits of purchasing your free gift on what’s called an Opt-in form or a Landing page…whatever is your choice. I will say this, using a landing page allows you to give more information as to what your lead magnet is about and how they’ll benefit from purchasing it…but the choice is still up to you. If you want, you can use both.

I’m getting a little ahead of myself, so right now I want to talk about one of the first things you need to do. Y ou need to decide what your lead magnet is going to be. Whether it’s a free report or an ebook, make sure you do the necessary research and write as if you were talking to a good friend or relative and above all things, write in your own words…never plagiarize. You don’t want to get into any kind of copyright infringements.

This is only one way to collect contacts. The next one I’d like to talk about is…

Facebook Ads

Facebook ads is another way you can gather contacts for your email list. You start out by opening a Facebook Account. Go to your page and click the blue promote button on the left side. Then click on Get More Customer contacts. From there you choose what lead generation you want to use. The process is pretty much the same as stated before…create valuable content that solves your target audience problems or concerns. With that being said another way to gather contacts is through using…

Pop-Ups

Seeing Pop-Ups can be irritating to some people buts it’s a great way to collect email addresses. Studies have shown that the averge pop-up form converts 3.1% more. That might not seem like a lot but it is considering the average conversion rate for landing pages is 2.35%.

You want your pop-up to trigger at about half way through your post as your reader scolls down. You don’t want to interupt your prospect too early while they’re reading your information. My sugesstion is half way to close to the end of your content.

Your Blog

Another way of gathering contacts is by simply asking. This may seem obvious, but you’ll be suprised how many bloogers don’t do this.

This is a business and the life-blood of it and you want to use every avenue there is when gathering your contacts. Give a call to action by putting in an Opt-In form on your blog using the same methods talked about earlier.

Hosting an Event

If you’re hosting an event that people have to register to get, you’ll collect their contact information…which is yet another way to collect email address for your email list.

Foward your Emails

You should encourage your subscribers to send your emails to their friends and associates using an “email to a friend button”. It’s also a good thing to ask them to share your contact on their social media platforms. At the bottom of all your emails, include links to facebook, twitter, instagram and so forth.

Guess Blog for Other Websites

There are over 600 million blogs in the world today. The probability of many of them catering to your target audience is large. You can expand your contact list by guest blogging on some of these sites. When you do create contentnt for these blogs make sure you include a call-to- action along with a link in your author by-line. You can also find guest blogging sites online. some of these sites include but are not limited to are Copyblogger, MarketingPro, and Shoutmeloud.

If you want to find more of them, just google guest blogging sites nd find one that best fit your needs.

The last method I want to talk about is…

Using Comments

When you offer comments on someones blog or forum, you can add links to your Opt-in form or your blog. You can find bloggers willing to work with you in a win-win situation. They get content, you get links or vise versa.

Well, in dending this post I hope you can see the number of ways you can gather email contacts. If you know of other ways not metioned, drop me a line. I can always use advice from others. As stated earlier, this is your business and you have to work at it by using every available avenue to make it work. Learning to gather your contacts is a start.

That’s it for today…and I hope you all the success in your business endevors.

P.S. Today we are in trying times. Be safe and protect yourself and your family, together with GODS help we’ll get through it.

How to start an Email Marketing Platform

In my last post, I told you how importnt email marketing could be to your affilite marketing business. To summerize…for every dollar spent on email marketing, there is a $40 return on investment, email marketing is 40 times more effective than social media, there will be an estimated 4.3 billion global email users by the year 2023, acording to studies.

With that being said, in order to get your email marketing strategy off the ground, you need 8 things to do in this process.

  1. Choose an email marketing service provider.
  2. Gather contacts for your email marketing list.
  3. Add your contacts into your email marketing account.
  4. Set up your Welcome email.
  5. Create a useable email template.
  6. Practice writing persuasive messages.
  7. Spend time on subject-line.
  8. Preview and test

In this post we’ll talk about process number one…choosing an email marketing list.

When you choose your email service provider there are a few things you need to consider. First you need to make sure your service provider has all the features you need for t to create simplehe campaigns you’re going to run. Generally speaking, there are must-have features every email marketer should have to be successful…and they are…

TEMPLATES: You need to be able to create simple emails quickly. So you’ll need a provider that has flexible layouts that are moble-friendly. You also want them to have a vast range of designs that will help your emails have that professional look.

TRACKING: If you don’t know how your email is performing, it won’t matter what you write or how it looks. You need to be able to make adjustments to what’s working and what’s not. Make sure your sevice provider has a consolidated dash board that will show you open rates, social sharing, bounce rates, clicks and unsubscribes.

MOBILITY: As stated earlier, you want your emails to be mobile-friendly. Studies ahve shown that 53% of email campaigns get opened on mobile devices. That’s a lot of emails to loose by not being able to work on all devices. Make sure your service provider has the capabilities to work on various devices.

AUTOMATION: Your email service provider needs to offer good workflow so you can schedule and send automated messages. One of the best things that automation does is it gives you the ability to run your business 24/7. Automation allows you to make money, anywhere, anytime, even while you sleep.

After you’ve found a service provider that meets these 4 standards you’ll want to know…

What’s Your Budget

You don’t need a large budget in order to be an effective email marketer. As a matter of fact, there are a few service providers that you can use for free. I’ll talk abut those providers in a future post. The point i’m making here is, you need to know before-hand what kind of expenses you are able to take on when choosing a service provider.

Service providers come in ranges of low, dedim and expensive. You can pay as low as $4 per month to a couple of thousand dollars a month, depending on what plan yu choose. As a beginner I recommend you choose the least expensive plan out there with the most features you can get. As your business grows, you can switch to a more expensive plan at a later date.

I Your Service Provider Safe?

With data security a big issue today, you want one that is safe and secure. Here is an interesting fact…of the 150 billion emails sent daily, 53% have claimed to have lost files thet had sensitive information on them. Research your service providers track record when it comes to security. Ask questions, get statistics, talk to customer service. You want your service provider to be an extention of your marketing and business strategy. You can’t have that with an unsafe service provider.

What are their delivery rates?

In order to engage with your prospects, the messages you sed have to at least land in their inbox. Every service provider can’t ensure that will happen. Ask them before you choose one….”What is your delivery rate?” You want one that is at least 97% or more. You also want to see what kind of relationship they have with internet giants like Yahoo!, Microsoft and Google. You want to find out how compatable they are with them.

The next tip I’m going to give you might be one of the most importnt ones…And that is…

What kind of support.

At some time in your business, you’re going to need help or have some questions you need answering. When that time comes, you’ll want that help to be there. You’ll need to ask quetions like…

…How long will it take to talk to someone?…

…How long will I get answers?…

…Are they available to help 24/7…

In Conclusion

Selecting the right email service provider doesn’t have to be hard…but it is critical to the success of your business. By following some of the tips i’ve laid out in this post, you’ll be well on your way to selecting the right one. Remember th 4 must-have features you need.

TEMPLATES

TRACKING

MOBILITY

AUTOMATION

One more thing you should know…

Your ESP

In case you might not know it, an ESP is the place that holds your indox, sent spam and drafted emails.

When email first came out, Mailbox and SNDMSG were the only ones to choose from… Now you have…

Gmail

Outlook

Yahoo!

icloud

Just to name a few.

If the esp provider that you are using doesn’t measure up to what you’re trying to do, change over to one that does.

These are some of the tips I’m following myself in starting an email marketing campaign.

I hope that I’ve given you some benificial content you can chew on.

In my next post, we’ll talk about “How to gather contacts for your email marketing list.

Until then, I hope you all the success in your quest to becoming an affilliate marketer.

P.S. Make sure you protect yourself and your loved ones in these trying times.

How content maketing makes you money

If you want to become successful at becoming an affiliate marketer, you must be able to drive sales to the companies you’re marketing for. the best way you can make that happen is through content creation or for better terms content marketing.

The vast majority of businesses out there have made content marketing an integral part of their marketing cycle.

Why?

Because content marketing helps businesses meet their goals along the sales cycle such as..

…Attrack new customers through brand awareness…

…Forms a relationship through the content…

…Answer many of the questions your potential customers have…

…And most imortantly comvert those potential customers to actual paying customers…

There are a number of content strategies that you-the affiliate marketer-can use to guide your prospects through the sales cycle to the eventual sales.

But the most important thing you must consider when you formulate your content strategy is surprisingly not the sale. Your most important goal is to form a relationship with your your readers. You can’t do that by shoving sales content down their throats. You have to gain their trust by giving them valueable content that they can use. Think about it…you wouldn’t buy something from a complete stranger just because they said it was great, would you? Of course not. It most likely would be from someone you knew and trusted. That’s how you should approach your content strategy, creating a relationship. Let them get to know you through your content, and gain their trust by giving away valuable content that will help them with their problems. Give them free insights on how to do something that they feel hey normally would have to pay for.

You can use emails…blogs…ebooks…and you tube just to name a few to put your content creation on.

when you begin your content strategy, it’s best to start out by indentifying a problem your reader is having in your niche. Try and formulate the best solution to their problem. You can find out some of their problems by answering some of the questions they may have. Try thinking of them by putting yourself in their shoes.

The questions they have can range from…what tools are out there that can help me do a more efficient job? What are my options to my particular problem? by answering these questions, you become somewhat of an authority and trust-worthy to them.

At this moment I want to focus on my two favorite content strategies which are emails and blogs.

Emails

When it comes to email marketing, here are some eye-opening statistics you should know…

…Emailmarketing technology isused by 82% of b2b and b2c companies with 95% of them using email automation…

…53% of emails are opened on mobile devices and growing…

…Emails with personalized subject lines are 26% more likely to be opened…

…Studies show that email marketing generates more sales than Facebook and Twitter combined…

…There’s over 3.9 Billion email users worldwide today and will be 4.3 billion globally by the year 2023…

These are only a few of the eye-popping statistics that lets you see how benificial using an email strategy can be today and the distant future.

You see, email is the foundation for interconnection that all new communication tools eventually go back to. This is one of the reasons I love email marketing as a content strategy.

I can’t show you how to create persuasive email content in this post…that will come in later post. But I can give you a few tips on the best way to write them.

The first thing yoou want to do is learn to write strong subject-lines. The subject-line is somewhat like your headline. With all the millions of subject lines out there, you want yours to grab them and get their attention. You can accomplish this by making your subject line relavant to your prospects concerns, worries and needs. Try and incorporate what great copywriters and marketers use when crafting their headlines and subject-lines. And that’s the Four -Us. The four Us is simply a strategy of making sure your subject line is unique, urgent, ultra-specific and usful. And curiosity is another strong emotion you can implament.

Whenever possible try and personalize your subject line. A good autoresonder site can help you do that.

When writing your email try to have a clear focus on what you want your email to do…be it sales, getting a subscription or acquiring an email address. Make sure your subjectline is connected to your email message…but more importantly write if you’re talking to your best friend and you’re letting them in on somthing that will help them. Remember you want to form a relationship with your prospect. This is one of the first part of a sales funnel that will get them closer to the sale. And lastly, leave a P.S. at the end of your message You have a lot of readers who are skimmers. You can use the P.S. to elaborate what you’ve talked about and also give them that extra push in moving foward in your sales funnel.

Writing a Blog

There are a number of reasons you should write a blog when it pertains to running your affiliate marketing business.

…It’s easy…

…It enables you to attract an audience ecaue you’ll have the ability to reach billions of people…

…Helps to establish authority…

…builds raport and engagement…

…Helps you make money…

…Improves your writing ability…

So, where shold you begin when you start your blog? If you’re like me-someone who had limitations on how much expenses you want to endure-you can begin without spending a single penny. You can go to WordPress and look at there free plan. In my opinion, this is a great way for a beginner to start. You’ll gain experience writing and researching. You’ll eventually have more confidence in your writing, and when you get to the point where your blog is growing, you then can up-grade to a premium plan.

Here are some basic steps to creating your blog.

Choose what your blog name will be: Make sure it’s simple but states what your blog is all about…

Put in the needed tools: This means installing the necessry plugins…

Be consistent: If you’re going to post daily, make sure you are consistent with it (something I have to work on myself)…

Grow with your blog: Your blog will grow, and so should you. When your blog grows make upgrades to keep your blog at the pace of it’s growth.

Well, that’s it for now. I hopeYou’ve gotten some basic insights from this post. Until next time have a blessed day.

The best online business to start as a Beginner

One of the best ebusinesses you can start-especially if you’re a beginner-is starting an affiliates marketing business.

Why?

For one, it’s a business that requires skills that are easy to learn. That’s not to say that it dosen’t take a lot of work…it does. If you think this is some kind of get-rich-quick scheme, I don’t think this is the right business for you. This is a business that takes a lot of work such as, research, being consistent and building a strong reputation in your niche. But with the required commitment and efford, you’ll find yourself up and running while making a profit in no time.

The question you may be asking yourself is…what exactly is affiliate marketing? To put it in laymens terms-for those who don’t know-affiliate marketing is when you an affiliate marketer earn a commission for marketing someone elses product or service.

The process is simple.

You search for the product or service you want to promote. You promote that particular product or service and you earn a commission or a percentage of the profit of each sale the company makes through you. Now, it’s much more to it than that, but this is the process in it’s simplest form.

What makes this business so great is, you can earn as much or as little as you want. You could want to earn just a little extra cash on the side or you could actually get rich. You can make money anywhere, anytime…while you’re on vacation, at your home, even while you’re sleep.

And if you don’t believe you can get rich in this business, take a look at what some of the top affilitate marketers earn.

Pat Flyn earns a monthly in come of $53,000 + Jeremy Schoemaker has earned 2 to 4 milion dollars in the last 5 years. Neil Patol has an estimated worth of $10 million.

All this may excite you-and it should-but I want to give you a word of caution. You should NEVER I mean NEVER, mislead or make false claims n the product or services you are promoting.remember, you want to earn the trust from your readers and you want to be look upon as an expert authority in your niche. You’ll never get that by decieving them.

With that being said, I want to make two more points.

Affiliate marketing is growing by leeps and bounds. Business owners need sales and with the many marketing avenues available tho them, affiliate marketing is the one method that is the lowest risk to them when it comes to marketing. You see, a company can spend thousands of dollars on their marketing campaigns and recieve nothing in return if they don’t make any sales. A company can pay for clicks, but if they don’t make any sales, it’s all for nought. But with affitilate marketing, you get paid based on your performance. In other words, you don’t get paid unless you bring them sales. This is a great low-risk strategy for companies wanting to market their products or services. It’s also a win-win situation for all that’s involved.

I hope you can see the advantages of starting an affiliate marketing business, and why I think it’s a great business-especially for beginners. Affiliate marketing is in high demand and continually growing, the skills are easy to learn and it involves very low sart-up cost.

That’s it for now, until next time, may you have a successful online business.

Why this is the perfect Ebusiness to Start.

We are living in the best times in the history of the world, when it pertains to starting a business. This is because , today we have access to information that was only available to the elite in the past. We also have the ability to reach thousands, millions, even billions of people at the stroke of a button.

This leads me to believe that today is the most opportune time to start a business in the history of mankind.

Unlike our fore-fathers we don’t need a brick and mortar building or a marketing campaign that runs you into the hundreds of thousand dollars. You just need a computer connection and an idea that benifits the masses… and you could be on your way to amassing an incredible amount of wealth.

Think about it. If you had a product which sold for $2.50 and you had the ability to reach 10 miilion people. You would just need a quarter of the those people buying from you to become a miilionaire.

Now I’m not saying it’s that easy to making a million dollars because you do have to work at it. What i’m saying is, there is a vast array of opportunities around us because of the ability to reach so many people with information that was once available to the select few. And to make things even better, you don’t even have to have your own product or service to start a successful online business.

The point I’m trying to make is the cheapest, easiest way to start a business is starting an online(ebusiness). And the one ebusiness that I firmly believe is the perfect start-up-especially if you’re just starting out- is an Affiliate Marketing business.

Why?

Because you don’t need your own product or service. You don’t have to worry about structuring payments or shipments. This is because you don’t own the product or service. Someone else does, you’re just marketing and helping them get more sales.

The commissions for these sales range from 40% to 99%. If you were to become an affiliate marketer to sizable number of companies, you could be sitting on your own Affiliate Marketing Empire.

That’s why I’m writing this blog post…because I want to be apart of this fleging financial opportunity. and I also want to help people like myself achieve their financial goals as well.

In the preceding post I’m going to show you how I’m starting my affiliate marketing business with very little money to start. So if you’re stripped for cash, but want to start up your affiliate marketing business sign-up to my blog.
